we have a song from our new EP on the SARC SAMP1ER compilation:
A few friends and I have started a record label. It is called Sonic Anhedonic Recording Company.
We shall be releasing small runs of heavyweight vinyl for artists we dig.
First on the list is The Lunchtime Sardine Club (https://www.facebook.com/thelunchtimesardineclub) followed swiftly by Chalk (https://www.facebook.com/stalkchalk).
Down the line, you can expect to see output from Bermuda Ern, Love Among The Mannequins, and some more noisy stuff.
To celebrate the start of this rad endeavor, we have conspired with the dudes at Brighton Noise (https://www.facebook.com/brightonnoise) to host an evening of live music:
Sonic Anhedonic and Brighton Noise Present…
A night of lo-fi stark fuzzy psych singer-songerwriter bullshit
Lo-fi stark folk
(Love Among The Mannequins, Crooked Mountain Crooked Sea)
THE LUNCHTIME SARDINE CLUB

(Yndi Halda, Bermuda Ern, Saint Coltrane)
(Shoes and Socks Off, Meet Me In St Louis)
The Latest Music Bar, Brighton
£3 advance, £5 on the door.
In other news, my new project is coming together and I seem to have assembled a band. A really good one. If you wish to keep up to date, go here:
Enough radmin for now.
T. HAINES. (the man that you aint)
There’s movement. Things are happening. SASO is at the bottom of the Thames, weighed down with breeze blocks, but 2013 is going to be a busy year.
My new, as yet untitled, solo project is beginning to make sense. Writing and Demoing. Don’t want to show you anything until its rad.
Bermuda Ern is recording the album at the end of February. We are going to a small cottage in the middle of nowhere, and taking command of the place for a week. Mr Alexander Ross Petersen will be taking part in the process, and we are really happy about that.
Love Among The Mannequins have an EP out in April/May time. A swell new label is releasing it on 10”, which is really something, as we wrote the songs specifically for a 10” release. By the time it is out, the second album will be written, and plans to record will be the topic of every band practice conversation.
The Lunchtime Sardine Club, Chalk, Nitkowski, Vodun, Silent Front, FTSE, Foe Someone Died, and Mr Alexander Ross Petersen all have releases they are working on. KnorX might have something to say, too. Who can say?
NYE at The Old Blue Last was rad. Tangled Hair played a Foo Fighters set, Wife Tactics played…something… I couldn’t be sure. And of course, Tubelord played their last show. Thank you to everyone that came down, was a killer night. Spent a lot of it hanging with Paul of Tropics/MMISL/Spilt Milk, which was right good. A lot of friendly faces, all in one place.
This is inspiring to me:
